We have a team of very qualified and experienced staff.
A list of their qualification is available, from the director’s office.
All staff in this school are dedicated to working to help children develop in all aspects of their life.
We want to see each child succeed in their learning, responsibilities and relationships.
To the nursery unit:
We will run an early year’s unit for nursery and reception aged children. This area of the curriculum is known as the foundation stage. To place your children on the nursery waiting list you need to contact the school by telephone, letter or visit.
You will be asked to complete and sign an application form for which you are given a receipt. Children will be given available places from the age of three. The child’s birth certificate is required at this time. The school will take a copy as a record.
We will operate extended care provision in school for nursery children (numbers permitting) and anyone wishing their nursery child to stay in school all day will need to speak to the manager of the scheme regarding that
To other classes
A telephone call or visit to the head teacher will determine whether or not there is a vacancy in the class required. Prospective parents are welcome to visit at a mutually convenient time. If there are more applications than places, pupils are allocated a place in accordance with set admission policy.
Anyone wishing to consider hillside school as a school for the child is very welcome to come and visit us - it may be necessary to make a prior appointment to ensure that the Head Teacher or Deputy is available. Alternatively, write or telephone for an admission form. Enquires will also be given a copy of the prospectus and any other information they may need.
The admission limit for all classes is set at 25 to ensure individualized teacher attention.
